Imperial College Student Union - Lord Mayor's Show Float Co-ordinator 1993
We had to design a build a float whislt motivating a team of first year students that they would rather spend their spare time painting crests of arms and making giant artificial legs than off down the pub. This was all done in under 2 months. For my hard labours I was awarded "Social Colours" and my name was engraved on one of the "Pots" in the bar.
Student Television of Imperial College - Chairman 1993/4
We decided to extend the studio the summer before I became chairman so a lot of my summer was involved with building walls etc. Unfortunately this also meant that we did not have much of a studio to come back to the next term. STOIC managed to get up and running by the end of the year and has been improving ever since. Most years STOIC wins awards, and in my year we won 3 including my own "All Change" an animation of electronic components.
For many years I have kept in close contact with the STOIC alumni.
My education is continuing via self study and the training supplied by my current employers. I have passed several Microsoft exams with no assistance from external training courses.
